Exclusive for Traffic Jam Session

Lunds kommun has given access to some very interesting sets of bike and pedestrian data. In the database (ddwap.mah.se database name ab5645) there are some tables with data from Lunds. Password for the database is printed on the document sheets on the tables at the hackathon venue.

See Karolina’s presentation here Karolina Huss, Traffic Jam Session Presentation.

Bike entry/exit count

Lund has presented bike statistics which contains data over how many cyclists have passed in (or out of) Lund from other locations during a specific time interval of the day, and can be accessed in the database in the table lund_bike_count_peripheral.

Parking inventory

The parking inventory statistics contains data over bike parkings in Lund where the amount of parking places are available as well as broken ones. Columns in the table also show the average occupancy and number of parked bicycles during a specific time interval of the day. Is accessed from the database in the table lund_bike_parking_inventory. lund_bike_parkings is a smaller table with fewer columns and does not contain the number of parked bikes.

Survey

Lund performed a survey that wished to examine how to make Lund a better bike town. 46 people took part in the survey. Columns include gender, age, biking frequency and various agree/disagree statements for variables such as lighting, roads, bike map, bike pumps, sanitation, traffic safety and much more. A documentation analysis over the survey can be accessed here, and the data is available in the table lund_survey.
